You are absolutely right concerning the "Code of conduct" for
mailing list administrators. There should be such codes for users
and system operators too. However, I would like to point out that
*ideological cohesion and honesty* are necessary features when some
one is adressing Ethical issues, SIR.

]It might be wise to remind subscribers to this list that membership on a
]mailing list is a matter of public knowledge. In the case of the
]Fisheries list I have set it so that only members can obtain a listing
]of who is on the list, but since anyone is free to join, this is not a
]problem to anyone interested in keeping track of who our members are.
