They are claiming a good deal more than that (the right to create derivative
works in any and all media for starters). I don't have a problem with them
setting up an agreement that gives them legal protection to provide the
service they're providing: distributing and archiving mailing list messages.
Unfortunately they are drawing a much wider circle than that.
