Hi,
We are sloooowly moving towards an internet connection and were taking
for granted that we were going to use a Cisco Router as our firewall
router. However with this recent thread regarding the Cisco AGS+ and
limitations regarding filtering, we are taking another look at that
assumption. We are currently using Cisco Routers and Telebit NetBlazers
as our routers of choice. I have also evaluated a 3Com NetBuilder II
about 9 months ago, but that evaluation was for use as a bridge not as
a router.
I would greatly appreciated it, if any of you have evaluated several routers
for your opinions regarding which routers work well for firewalls.
Cisco?
WellFleet?
NetBlazer?
3Com?
Hughs?
Ungerman-Bass?
PC based solution?
Security will be a major concern, and justification for our move or no
move unto the Internet.
