Subject: archie behind a firewall?

Is there a version of archie and/or xarchie which will work behind a
firewall?

I have the xarchie 2.08 (they also work with 2.09) patches for socks, but
this only lets the ftp part of xarchie work. What I really need (if it
exists) is a way to let the archie UDP traffic through.

The "firewall" set up I am dealing with is:

"internet cloud" -> cisco + sun (their own net, sun has 2 ethers)
                          |
                      internal
                         net

DNS is set up such that the internal net can do hostname lookups to the
outside, and the firewall net can look up internal host names via a host
file. The internal net is not reachable from the outside via filtering
and non-advertised nets.

Thanks in advance...
