On SunOS 4.1.X mount is statically linked,
However automount is dynamically linked and will work correctly
with a libc that has been modified to talk directly to the DNS
without using NIS.   We have been using the "resolv+" modifications
to libc sucessfully for about 18 months.  "resolv+" lets you fall back
on /etc/hosts or even NIS is there is a DNS failure.  I believe
that this was modelled after the ULTRIX resolver implementation.
