I didn't mean to suggest that they shouldn't be on the Internet.

I asked if they had _considered_ whether or not it was appropriate,
given their security concerns and the current state of technology and
the Internet.

I see a lot of sites these days rushing head-long to get on the
Internet without understanding what they're getting in to.  Usually
they haven't done their homework, and have no concept of the potential
downsides of being on the Internet.  Email and NetNews and FTP and
archie and WAIS and Gopher and WWW are all extremely useful, but
you've _got_ to understand the whole picture of what you're buying
into.  Getting on the Internet, and then whining "Oh my God, there are
_crackers_ here!!!" is kind of stupid.
