Your comments requested:
I've been reading this list for the past several months in a an attempt
to learn more about the issues related to firewalls. I currently have a UUCP
link to the Internet and am working to upgrade that to a leased line, it is
with this new connection that my questions focus on. In building the firewall
host, should I or should I not have user accounts on it and force all
connections from that machine or should I not have accounts on that machine
and allow outgoing connections from any (all) machines on my local net?
My intent is not to start a heated discussion but only to help enlighten me
(and possibly others) on the pros and cons of the various approaches..
Thanks in advance,
Matt
