My email is running about 10 to 1 against continuing these (in the
view of the people sending me mail) non-technical, marginally-related
discussions.
I'm under a lot of pressure to bring the volume down; quite a few
folks have suggested moderation (at least temporarily) or simply
shutting the list down until this blows over. ]
I may take one of those steps if things don't calm down over night; I
was hoping that pleas from myself and others today would make that
unnecessary. The pleas _have_ had an effect; the question is whether
they've had _enough_ effect, or whether the effect is simply
temporary.
