netconfig (Jon Kay <jkay @
ucsd .
edu>) is a C program for SunOS which allows
one to hack on the tunable parameters dynamically. E.g.
IP:
Routing (_ip_forwarding): on
Verbose (_ip_printfs): off
ICMP:
Redirects (_ip_sendredirects): on
TCP:
Output Buffer Size (_tcp_sendspace): 4096
Input Buffer Size (_tcp_recvspace): 4096
No Delayed ACK (_tcp_nodelack): off
Maximum Segment Size (_tcp_default_mss): 1006
UDP:
Checksum (_udp_cksum): off
Max Sndbuf and Msg Size (_udp_sendspace): 9000
Max Rcvbuf and Msg Size (_udp_recvspace): 18032
TTL (_udp_ttl): 60
Yes, boys and girls, UDP checksums are off by default in SunOS. :-(
It lives at ftp.ucsd.edu:/pub/csl/netconfig/netconfig.tar.Z
