Easily done. tcl/expect has a contributed program in the scripts dir
called alpha-pager that works well to send messages to alpha numeric
pagers. It would be fairly easy to extend it to this purpose, or just
do a tail -f from the log file, or make the log file a named pipe
and read from it. Of course, none of these come "out-of-the-box-ready",
but if you have the aptitude and a little bit of time, it works
just fine.
(Having not done this particular implementation - though I have
done the named-pipe thing - you may take this with a grain of salt)
