Before posting this, I read and posted to comp.protocols.{nfs,tcp-ip}
and comp.unix.admin -- as well as examined the archives and topic
"library" at Great Circle (ftp.GreatCircle.com). No luck, and sorry
to bother everybody with this:
Some time back, there was some mention of NFS proxies--either a paper,
an implementation, or both. If anyone can supply a reference or an
FTP site, I'd be grateful. As so typically happens, I didn't need
the information when I saw it.
Yes, it's firewall related. ;)
