My boss has just decided to hire a consultant to assist in the
evaluation of connecting our network to the Internet. We are a
non- Unix, non- TCP environment. What experience,
qualifications, education etc should we look for in this
consultant? What questions should we ask to eliminate the
smooth talkers from the real technical guru? The purpose of
the consultant would be to determine what we need to do before
connecting to the Internet. The recommendations expected
should include personnel training, as well as hardware and
         software required.

Being interested in this also, I would like to see responses to the list also.
