I believe some part of the Berne convention automatically assigns
copyrights to the author of Internet postings. In other words, those of
you who have been excerpted whole hog in Internet Security have a right to
some portion of the proceeds or a right to stop the publishers from
using your material.
However, whether you believe in copyright or decide to execute your rights
is totally up to you.
Whether the government will enforce your rights is totally up to the
government.
