To put bluntly, I'm not interested, and I won't subscribe (even though
I reserve the right to ask questions to the list :-) unless you manage
both to reach a critical mass within say 2 months (I think 1000 subscribers
is a minimum to keep things lively) and to get people of a level similar to
mjr, smb, Warmly, Brent (in no particular order - apologies to those who
should have been included, or think so.)
And before you ask, yes, I'm French, and I enjoy speaking, hearing,
reading and writing French, and I don't care much for mangled English
(no more than I do for mangled French ...)
There's an item in your charter, though, that I'm not sure is covered
in firewalls : namely, discussion of country-specific firewalls/security
issues. I didn't see any discussion of this, and I'm not sure whether
the firewalls charter says anything about it (Brent ?). But I don't
think this is enough to justify YAML (yet another mailing list).
Comments, anyone ?
