The Gauntlet Internet Firewall features not in FWTK:
TIS gets paid for it (well, *I* think that's a feature!)
It is configured.
It is supported.
It will have new versions with new functionality.
It supports complete transparency from inside to out (no client s/w
changes, no change in how users use services, etc.
It protects against IP Spoofing
It supports firewall-to-firewall IP encryption (software standard,
hardware option)
Management scripts
"Smoke Alarms" -- alerts to report probes on unsupported ports, ICMP
redirects, etc. Filter provided for sys manager to indicate
what to ignore
Greater granularity on authenticated users permissions (service, time
of day, etc.)
Controlled export in the http proxy. (permits restricted view of
internal web)
