Padgett,

It may be appropriate to call the "firewall-ers" attention 
to this month's issue of Data Communications magazine which 
reviews several token solutions.  Everyone appeared to have 
something the reviewer did not like.

Basically there are two types of tokens today, time synchronous and 
challenge response. Both work well (one went white water rafting
       in Alaska with a SecurID in my wallet - it survived and have been using
