There was a bit of discussion recently about whether NT is a good firewall
platform. You can check the archives to see the pros and cons. Also, you
ask about stability, and I don't think anyone will argue against the
stability of NT (too much :-) but security is another issue altogether.

But there is one thing that I think you should notice about using NT as
a firewall:

$ telnet netmail.microsoft.com
Trying 131.107.1.3 ...
Connected to netmail.microsoft.com.
Escape character is '^]'.

How can NT be good enough for your company's security, or that of your
customers if it isn't good enough for Microsoft?
