I'm setting up our firewall here. Currently I've configured a host
(Solaris 2.3) as a standalone box, which support anon.ftp - when I
strip it down and rebuild it as a firewall I still want to support
anonymous ftp if possible. Where should I put it? Presumably the
firewall machine itself doesn't want to have it on board? If
I place it on a host on the internal network then doesn't that go
against the firewall idea? I'd expected to remove all services from
the f/w and use SOCKS instead, which presumably won't permit incoming
(ie FROM the internet) ftp, telnet etc ?
Anyone advise me please?
