Priority: Normal

Quite a number of people requested the necessary changes for making
TIS FWTK compile and run on Linux. As these changes are really minor,
I post this to the whole list - please forgive if this is somewhat
off topic.

I give you just the diffs, and you see it is really minor and can be
apllied manually.

I did not attempt to compile x-gw (I do not need it), and I did not test
rlogin-gw and http-gw (but I am confident that they run ...)

Here we go (the files ending in -linux are the ones I use):

diff firewall.h firewall.h.linux: (a library-dependent matter of naming)

80,81c80,81
< #define DIRECT_STRUCT struct direct
< /* #define DIRECT_STRUCT struct dirent */
---
> /*#define DIRECT_STRUCT struct direct */
> #define DIRECT_STRUCT struct dirent

diff Makefile Makefile.linux: (only commented out the x.gw)

25c25
< DIRS= smap smapd netacl plug-gw ftp-gw tn-gw rlogin-gw http-gw x-gw
---
> DIRS= smap smapd netacl plug-gw ftp-gw tn-gw rlogin-gw http-gw # x-gw

diff Makefile.config Makefile.config.linux: (name of compiler, no
additional resolver lib, dbm-lib)

16c16
< CC= cc
---
> CC= gcc
52c52
< AUXLIB= -lresolv
---
> #AUXLIB= -lresolv
53a54,55
> # wkl
> AUXLIB=
59c61
< DBMLIB=
---
> DBMLIB= -ldbm

--------------------------

One of you had a question regarding Suns - I cannot say anything about
that, we only run Linux and MS Windows clients against the firewall :-)

Hope this helps!
