I don't run sendmail on our mail gateway here.

I run smail 2.5, a really limited uucp-oriented mail routing agent, with
a channel program I wrote, and a little standalone SMTP daemon that just
grabs messages and feeds them to an external program like smap does, albeit
without the chroot trickery.
