The Bellcore code has byte-ordering dependencies that are wrong by default for
Intel CPUs.  If you don't fix them (it's trivial), everything will compile and
run, but the challenges and responses definitely won't be compatible with
properly compiled s/key.  I don't remember whether it works with itself.
