The supposition here, of course, is who a qualified subscription magazine
(ie free to the end user, and supported by advertising revenue...) is actually
beholden to: the reader of the journal or the advertisers that pay the bills.
(and before the professional journalists and vendors start taking flame shots,
I was an editor of a qualified subscription, BPA audited magazine. So flames
go to /dev/null, folks; been there, done that...)
It is in line with the old saying:
"believe nothing of what you hear, and only half of what you read."
You can put a box with light-speed performance in between an ethernet and
a T1, and you will only get T1 performance. The system is only as fast as
its slowest link.
The best system is the one that meets YOUR requirements. Not the one that
meets some magazine's test suite.
