Subject: MBone traffic through a firewall

Assuming I could solve a few technical problems with our setup and
get an MBone feed through the firewall, what would the security issues
be with trying such a thing. I remember hearing something about being
able to telnet to hosts though multicast traffic in the first few
releases of multicast-enabled kernels. What kind of gotcha's should we
expect with such a setup.

FYI, I am working on getting an internal mbone setup for use on our
intranet. Several of the lectures I have seen anounced looked like they
would be of interest to some of the engineers here, so I though that
connecting to the MBone would be an added benefit, IF it can be done in
a SECURE manner. Thanks for any info.
