Hi,
One of the reasons could be that ur router is taking a very long route,which
is probably why that too many hops count.Try tracing ur message route and I think
the router is configurable to use a different route than specified. Also try sending
the nessage through another gateway.
Hope this helps.. BTW does ur router allow you to configure the total number
of hops allowed for one message.
