I believe that is only an "agent" for Monitor.  You can drop these on
different segements of your network and have a Network Monitor "attach" to
one.

Doing this allows you to have Monitor physically on one segment and "sniff"
from another segment.  Saves having to pick up your Netmon station and take
it where you can plug it into the segment.
