Hi, everybody.


I am writing an article about distributed network management across the

Internet (with tools like IBM System View or HP Openview)
, and I have heard a lot about the security risks of allowig SNMP
packets through the public Network. Could this be solved applying IP
tunneling in order to get the SNMP packets get from one private network
to the one where the network management is centralized??


There are some implicits rules at the firewall level that
block this kind of messages??
