Also Tektronix (WinDD) and NCD (Wincenter) use the Citrix technology to
get you NT remote access from X. Finally, Connectsoft has spun off Exodus
to market a native NT remote access product called NTerprise.
I've tried them all. My impressions are that NTerprise is the best basic
design, but it's a bit buggy yet. We've been using WinDD for some time, and
are evaluating Wincenter. Wincenter seems to be nearly as fast as NTerprise
and a lot more solid.
Tektronix just announced NIS support. That's a bit of a downside for
security, but a solid plus if you're already using NIS.
WinDD and Wincenter are about the same price. NTerprise is a LOT cheaper,
but you have to add in the cost of NT Server (or Workstation if you're
going to mostly do stuff locally).
All are pretty tightly coupled to specific versions of NT. Don't expect them
to support NT 4.0 any time soon.
