Hi,

I have a problem with the tcp_wrapper program. I tried finding clues
in the WWW and the documentation for a while, but didn't succeed.

The problem is, that I have rejected connections from unknown or from
address 0.0.0.0. In the log I get the following types of messages:

Aug 7 11:01:04 frodo http-gw[13530]: warning: can't get client address: Connec
tion reset by peer
Aug 7 11:01:04 frodo http-gw[13530]: refused connect from unknown

or

Aug 6 15:47:50 frodo http-gw[11349]: warning: getsockname: Invalid argument
Aug 6 15:47:50 frodo http-gw[11349]: refused connect from 0.0.0.0

I am running tcp_wrappers_7.2 on SunOS 4.1.4. (I've looked through the
CHANGES of version 7.4 but it didn't mention a problem like that so I
haven't upgraded yet).

As of now all the checking in /etc/hosts.allow is based on IP
addresses. I will add my hosts.allow and hosts.deny at the end.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

Best wishes

   Michael
