We at GI recommend 64M of ram for our Centri firewall. We require
32M. It runs passingly well on 32, but most optimally at 64
Megs.

] You can effectively run *BSD, Solaris for Intel, and Linux on such a
] machine. That offers a large range of commercial and do-it-yourself
] options involving filtering, application proxies, and hybrids. Most of
] the NT folks I've spoken to wouldn't procure a box with less than 64M on
] it to do much of anything. Perhaps one of the NT vendors could post base
] requirements without adding any salesfluff?
