I am using TIS FWTK 1.3 for Solaris 2.5. Everything work fine
execpet tn-gw from a solaris machine. When telnet to the proxy from
sunos machine it works perfect, but when I telnet from solaris machine
I get the proxy and when I telnet from the proxy to outside it just
hangs.
I have checked the tcp connections established using "netstat" in fact
there are connectiones established both ways. But my connection still
hangs just saying " Trying <ipaddress>....". Once again this happens
only if I telnet from solaris machine.
My theory is that FWTK tn-gw doesn't allow telnet connections with
port numbers > 32K on the client side. And sure enough solaris uses
only port #s > 32K for telnet. That's why there in fact a tcp
conncetion established but tn-gw doesn't give anything.
Am I right? If so, are there any fixes to that problem.
