And the evil empire is also supporting RADIUS in the context of the
ROAMOPS working group which is developping a standard for roaming. This
refers to somebody uplugging their laptop from the office, plugging into a
hotel phone line in another city, telling the laptop where they are and
the software figures out what local ISP phone number to dial, gets him
authenticated and sets up a tunnel to his home LAN so that his IP
configuration works unchanged. I'm sure that MS is busy doing the rounds
of NAS vendors right now making sure that they all fully support RADIUS.
BTW, NAS = Network Access Server like Portmasters, Ascend MAX's, USR TC's
