I would suggest including at least '_' - necessary for many RFC822-
valid mailbox names - and '%' - used to implement routing by many
sendmail systems, for mail machines not directly on the Internet.  No
(I can hear Fred telling me), using '%' is not the best way to use
sendmail.  But it's an old way that works, and is still used here and
there.
