The /proc filesystem provides access to each process running on the 
system.  The size is not disk usage, but rather memory usage 
(someone feel free to correct me).  There are a number of tools
provided with the OS to manipulate these process through the decimal
number equiv. of the process id's.  Don't delete these files. ;-)
