Subject: Checkpoint nonsense & source code

Hi,

Let me say that these attacks on Checkpoint seem a little unfounded. The
statefulness refers to the way in which Checkpoint controls stateless
protocols, such as UDP. This is something most firewalls don't do.
However, I don't think this as big a deal as it may first seem.

Also the providing of source code for a firewall product is not necessarily
a good thing and for the record the TIS toolkit source code is quite
different to the code used in the full TIS Gauntlet firewall.

Should this newsgroup be moderated against such pointless, reckless and
unfounded mails as this?

Andy
