wu-ftpd on a unix box, I guess.  The FTP server really doesn't have much
to do with the speed of transfers, per se.  Your system hardware and OS
are usually much more responsible than your server daemon, due to the
nature of ftp.

Well, the config described below comes close to saturating 100 mb
ethernet, so: 

	100 mb/s * 86,400s/day =
		8,640,000 mb/day =
			8,640 gb/day =
				8.64 tb/day  * 1tB/8tb =
					1.8 tB/day

Almost 2 terrabytes, but call it 1.5 terrabytes to be safe.

Put it in a dual-PPro Linux box with 1/2 GB of RAM.  Of course, that's
assuming that you're moving a small quantity of data, but moving many
copies of it.  If you're access patterns are more random access, then buy
a NetApp to store your data on.

Are you maxing out your FTP server right now?
