Firewall research paper

Hi all,
Ok, maybe this isn't the place for this, if so I apologize.

I have to write a paper on firewalls for my Information Systems Security 
class. I've been following the threads here for a few days and was 
wondering if anyone had any suggested resources for information and any 
good ideas as to how I should approach the topic.
