Hi,
I seem to have a problem in that when a reverse DNS lookup request is
sent to our name server, it does not respond. This is causing a
problem as some sites which we need to access will not allow access
if they cannot successfully perform a reverse DNS lookup.
The name server which is being queried is one half of a split DNS,
and advertises our presence on the Internet.
We are using Gauntlet 3.1 on a Silicon Graphics Challenge S with
IRIX 5.3
Does Gauntlet allow reverse DNS lookups?
Can anyone suggest where I should be looking.
TIA

It should allow reverse DNS; we've got a Sparc Ultra, Solaris 2.5.1 and
Gauntlet 3.2a, and the .rev files on
the Gauntlet work fine. The Gauntlet is only doing DNS for outside
addresses, of course.

After a time, you may find that 'having' is not so pleasing a thing, after
