Longer than six weeks, almost certainly.

Perhaps fortunately for you, but certainly unfortunately for the
industry, you don't need to be anything even _resembling_ an expert to
be a Firewalling Consultant or some such.  You don't even really need
to know what you're doing, provided that you can look grave and talk
vaguely about things like `denial of service' and `wily hackers'.
