France, South Korea and Russia should be added to your list of "countries
using govt employees to spy on the USA". Jonathan Pollard
was not employed by the CIA but rather the Navy.
Allies and enemies alike spy on the USA. one of the differences between
allies and enemies is what they do with the information obtained
from spying. The USA spies on them as well.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Have a little more faith in the capabilities of the NSA to ferret
out any "interesting features" installed in security equipment and software
used to secure classified facilities.
