SNMP   (RFC  1157)


uses port 162/udp as well for SNMP Traps ....


check out http://www.internic.net    get a copy of RFC 1700.

or better ....

		to search them by number or keyword ;)

These are all better than the old "nic.ddn.mil" ftp/kermit site ;)


p.s. if you allow snmp polling to pass in through your firewall, limit what
machine's can do so,  I wouldn't want "evilhost" to query or poll my snmp
devices for information...
