Raptor supports two types of VPNs

1)	SWIPE (proprietary) for Raptor firewalls (and clients) only

2)	IPSEC which is interoperable with non-Raptor firewalls

Swipe-based tunnels hide the addresses of tunnel endpoints on internal
networks from the outside world.  Conversely, IPSEC-based tunnels do
not.

IPSEC-based tunnels use separate authentication and encryption headers.
In contrast, SWIPE tunnels use a single header for encryption and
authentication.

Which one you use depends on your specific requirements.
