Does FW-1 has the capability to authenticate Oracle clients before they
actually allowed to access the server,
[EvZ]
as far as I know yes

just like the Telnet/FTP
[EvZ]
not quite ...I think they use their "popup-authenticator" ...a program
that sits on client-PC's and asks password/UID for applics that are not
"standard" [EvZ] when you try to get through the FW.

can anybody advice me on this or is there any work around for this ??
[EvZ] I guess you can call the above a workaround...or try programming
your FW-1 yourself ;-)

Gtings, ErikVZ
