Come on folks, any thing that uses radiation of electromagnetic energy
as a means of propogation can be tapped. It's easier
to tap that than a wire as you don't even need to get physical access.
(Of course you do need to be in range of the radiation, but with
pagers (and cell phones I think) the information is propagated over repeaters
so the range can be pretty large.) The specs for most devices are out there,
so if someone has a mind to listen they can probably build the interception
device. If the information is confidential get devices that scramble and
encrypt, just like when you send something like that over the net.
Alternatively make your messages contain unclassified information to convey
the problem.
