There have been numerous reports of individuals using collected credit
card numbers for purchases from QVC, for example, and then selling the
goods for cash once received (ship to PO). There are thousands of
resellers willing to ship you virtually anything based on a voice
delivered credit card number, full name, and expiry date.

This form of fraud may not, as yet, have developed into the level of
business done in actual physical cards, but it is a very significant
threat to credit card companies, and by extension, you and I (as the
fraud comes out of our pockets in terms of higher prices for
services/goods).

While you may wish to slam CSI, pretending stolen credit card numbers
doesn't represent a threat that we all need to take seriously is like
sticking your head in the sand.

Cheers,
Russ
