Hmm, I recognized another name, William Cheswick.... I seem to recall
that his name comes up in the discussions of firewalls and security on
occasion. (-: Several other speakers known in the industry are
slated.
I'm not an icon in the industry and certainly no wizard, but I would
recommend this conference, certainly for anybody that lives in the
area. Plenty of time and opportunity to exchange ideas with other
attendees and the speakers. Nice location.
IMO, the different certifications are no better or worse than any other
industry type certifications. And, before certification, test or no,
you have to show evidence of 3 years experience in the area your are
testing for (novel idea, eh?). The certifications are already in
existence, this just an easy opportunity to review for the exams and sit
for them.
I am not associated with NASA, but have enjoyed and learned from the
last two TISC conferences.
