Hi,

Newbie here;

I have been reading opinions regarding NT vs. Solaris.

I am getting ready to research the "perfect" firewall for our
soon-upcoming T-1 INTERNET connection.
I do agree with the posters who said that NT is mostly hype; I am too not
overly impressed, especially compared to the fault tolerance & maturity
of my Novell systems.

I have been looking at Firewall-1 for NT; it seems to get consistent good
marks in the trade publications; what are your experiences?

If NT is indeed not the best choice, should I seriously consider Solaris?
Even if noone here knows UNIX?

How about a proprietary system, like CISCO's PIX box? What are your
experiences/opinions about that unit?

Any opinions/suggestions will be highly appreciated.
