Using AltaVista Firewall 97 on UNIX. Domain xyc.com is protected by
gatekeeper.xyz.com. I have an MX record on the red-net DNS that points
all mail to mailsvr.subdomain.xyz.com to another internet host.
Users sending mail from inside the firewall to user @
subdomain .
xyz .
com
are having their mail go to the firewall and back to the internal
mailhub. The firewall thinks subdomain.xyz.com is internal to the
xyz.com LAN, where is should send it through the firewall and to the
internet host.
AltaVista Firewall does but a "*.xyz.com" IN MX gatekeeper.xyz.com" in
the red net DNS zone file. Could this be the problem? Should I put a
"*.subdomain.xyz.com IN MX mailsvr.subdomain.xyz.com" in this file as
well?
Any hints or help is great!
