Just wondered if anybody has used those hardware devices
that disable LAN connections while a modem dials out
to the Internet.

It detects when the modem is active thus severing the
link to the LAN physically and reconnects the LAN
once the modem has disconnected from the LAN.

The device is connected to both the modem and LAN and
sounds good in theory and I am just wondering
what other peoples experience with these are, at $85
it is an ideal solution for small organisations
that just want to poll their ISP a few times a day
for email.
