We have encoutered *exactly* the same problem under WindowsNT without Fw-1. In
fact, this was a deficient motherboard (in our case, a Soltek Pentium PRO
200Mhz).
We fixed the problem with a BIOS update on the motherboard. But, to be sure, we
finally replaced this card by an ASUS.
This is not a Fw1 problem, but an hardware problem.
