I agree that the gauntlet gui admin is crummy-- it is slow, but I
can't stand the whole interface. I'd rather use the text based
version (gauntlet-admin) every time. I used the gui for a couple
days when I first installed the firewall, and gave it up. I got bit
by some type of problem this morning-- I'm trying to implement pc
extender, and was using the gui admin (so I could follow the
instructions as closely as possible). I saved the changes, but
didn't "apply" them; later, when I used the gauntlet-admin to follow
one of their pc extender tips (
http://www.tis.com/docs/support/pc-extender.html#core ), I
immediately started getting log messages that web connections were
being "denied by policy".

As near as I can tell, the gui truncated my trusted-networks file, as
well as my static-routes file. TIS, please don't give up the curses
version!!!

On a side note (although I've got a ticket with TIS), have any of you
had any luck getting PC extender to work on a LAN connected machine
from outside the firewall?
